Managing partner Cindy Gordon brings to Issues
Management extensive experience in public policy formation and
strategic communications. She is frequently called on to provide
communications counseling, crisis communications management and
training to corporate executives and their staff. She also directs
Insight Communication, Issues Management’s related business
venture, where she manages marketing and communications projects,
including corporate image campaigns, communication audits and
major public education projects.
Prior to joining Issues Management, Cindy enjoyed
an extensive career in state government holding positions in
the New Jersey Governor’s Office, Department of Human Services
and Department of Environmental Protection where she managed
both state and federal issues.
Cindy has represented New Jersey in national
policy development on issues of low-level radioactive waste through
the National Governor’s Association and the Coalition of
Northeastern Governors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in
psychology from Drew University, a master’s degree in public
administration from Rider University and participated in the
Mid-Career Fellowship program at the Woodrow Wilson School of
Public and International Affairs of Princeton University. She
was awarded a fellowship by the German Marshall Fund and the
American Council on Germany to study the communication of controversial
environmental issues.
