Project: positioning an industry
When the New York Shipping Association wanted to position itself in the political and public eye, they chose Issues Management and Insight Communication to develop a creative advertising and marketing campaign that would underscore the economic importance of the Port of New York and New Jersey to the region. The “Delivering Prosperity” theme is developed through an integrated advertising campaign using print media, billboards, transit cards and radio ads.
In 2005, the first year of the 3 to 5 year, $3.6 million public education initiative, the campaign received three regional, national and international awards for creative design, clarity of message and public reach of the program.

NJ Sharing Network's "Taxicab Campaign"
NJ Sharing Network was interested in developing new advertising to continue its mission to educate the public about the need for organ and tissue donation. Insight Communication came up with a public relations campaign revolving around a series of conversations between a taxicab driver and his passengers. The project's potential to successfully reach its targeted audience captured the attention of the federal department of Health and Human Services (HHS). They awarded NJ Sharing Network a generous grant that allowed the Taxicab Campaign to become a reality.

Project: targeting specialty audiences
NJ Sharing Network's "Share NJ"
New Jersey Organ and Tissue Sharing Network (NJ Sharing Network) has a sensitive and challenging mission: to get more New Jerseyans to donate organs and tissue. Insight Communication has joined NJ Sharing Network's team to increase the donation rate through a vigorous public education campaign. Our work has included the development of targeted materials to different constituencies, including the clergy, corporations, elected officials and minority communities.

"Share NJ" is a multi-purpose publication that incorporates a broad range of information about organ and tissue donation in New Jersey with a newsy focus on current issues. "Share NJ" succeeds as a publication about organ donation that "breaks the mold" in terms of how the material looks, what it says and its ability to have an impact on the reader. Insight Communication has won a number of awards for this publication.

Home Port Alliance for USS New JerseyBattleship New Jersey

Project: identity campaign and video
Issues Management was retained by a group of organizations to help bring the Battleship New Jersey to Camden. We first created a formal name (Home Port Alliance) and logo for the group and then developed marketing materials including a full color brochure, press kits and a videotape used to convince various constituencies, including the U.S. Navy, that the ship should be berthed near its birthplace on the Delaware. The campaign was successful and the Battleship is now a popular tourist attraction on the Camden Waterfront.

Project: marketing professional services

Project: marketing professional services
Professional service providers in many fields-doctors, lawyers, architects and engineers-have come to realize that doing business in a competitive market requires new approaches. Marketing for these organizations requires sensitivity and an understanding of the professional culture. Issues Management's experience in this area includes design and implementation of marketing plans for one of the state's largest law firms, including a non-traditional corporate capability brochure.

Project: annual report
Texas Organ Sharing Alliance Annual Report
Issues Management and Insight Communication have special expertise in an unusual area-organ and tissue donation. We were hired by the Texas Organ Sharing Alliance (TOSA) to provide that expertise for their annual report in 2003 and again in 2004. Each publication highlights a year of great accomplishment for the organization and intertwines quotes from staff, community partners and organ donor families. The final products have been very well received.

New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties

Project: public policy agenda
The New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties has developed a strong public affairs program and is known as a resource to elected and appointed officials who need information on the complexities of commercial real estate and its economic impact on the state. Issues Management worked with the chapter to synthesize key public policy issues into a document that was succinct, attractive and provides value to its readers.

Holiday Card Sends Musical Greeting to Clients
Always eager to surprise our clients with creative and interesting holiday gifts, we developed a holiday CD featuring some of our classic and modern holiday musical favorites. The custom CD jacket was adorned with a colorful graphic and photo of the Issues Management team wishing everyone “Seasons Greetings from Poor Farm Road.”

Camden web page

Project: web page
Our client wanted a web page that served two distinct functions: to promote the Camden waterfront attractions and to provide information about economic development in the area. The page has evolved over time but continues to provide an attractive and user-friendly way to “cover the waterfront.”

Project: educational brochure
When the project backers needed to educate the public about plans for a new civic center, they turned to Issues Management. The dynamic brochure brought home the point that South Jersey needed a first-class venue so residents would no longer have to go to Philadelphia or Atlantic City for entertainment, sports and cultural events.
